Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of Kaairo, a gamified tasks & habits app available at kaairo.app (“Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms.

1. The Service

Kaairo is a task, routine, focus session and productivity analytics management app, with gamification elements (XP, levels, streaks and achievements). The Service is currently free, with no paid plans or subscriptions.

2. Accounts

• You can create an account with email and password, or by signing in with Google.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
• You must provide truthful information when creating your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

By using Kaairo, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or non-public parts of the Service.
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Service (e.g. overloading infrastructure, bypassing rate limits).
• Reverse-engineer or copy substantial parts of the Service without authorization.

4. Third-party integrations (Google Calendar / Google Tasks)

If you connect your Google account, you authorize Kaairo to access, in read-only mode only, your Google Calendar events and Google Tasks, exclusively to display them on your dashboard. You can revoke this access at any time in your profile settings or directly on your Google Account. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

5. Intellectual property

Kaairo, its design, brand, code and content (except content you create yourself, such as your tasks and notes) are owned by us or our licensors. Using the Service does not grant you any ownership rights over it.

You retain ownership of the content you create in Kaairo (tasks, routines, notes). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

6. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from use of the Service, including data loss — we recommend keeping your own important records outside of Kaairo as well.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in your profile settings. After deletion, your data enters a 30-day recovery period before being permanently erased (see Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated within the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you may have under your jurisdiction of residence.
